ACO 5.0 - Coding Altino Cars

GOAL: Complete all 3 coding challenges using Arduino Software with Altino cars.
Challenge 1: Complete a figure 8 pattern without collisions... fastest time wins!
Challenge 2: Ambulance responds to an accident... with lights, sirens and SPEED!
Challenge 3: Time to show off your best autonomous driving tricks... Your choice!

Week 8-9 DIGITAL PORTFOLIO REFLECTION:
Why is coding an important skill to learn, even if you don't plan to be a programmer? Explain Challenge #1 and tell us about the logic statement you used to tackle it. Describe each command (Go, Steering, Delay) that was required to program your Altino car to complete the figure 8. How did you feel working through the process of trial and error? (6 Sentence minimum)

Describe the new commands that were required to successfully complete Challenge #2 (While Loop, Array, Display Line, Sound). Would you ever trust an autonomous vehicle to give you a ride... please explain your answer. Do you think autonomous vehicles will be used in the future to carry out complex tasks like an ambulance responding to accidents... why or why not? (6 Sentence minimum)

REQUIRED VISUALS:
Embedded Google Drive video of your most impressive challenge at the top
Screenshot of successful code from Challenge #2 after first paragraph
3 Behind the Scenes photos of your team after second paragraph

ACO 3.0 - Art And Design

The elements of art that I used in my digital still life is line, texture, and value. The first element is line, how I use line is by outlining my image. The second element is texture, for texture I made these lines that made it look 3D and realistic. Last element I used it value. For value, I shaded in some parts. The relationship of the size of your texture brush and controlling the value scale of your image is that if you have a bigger and large value brush then the texture will be the same but if you have a small and more controlled brush then you are able to make shades and texture very well. The part I found very enjoyable of the digital process is basically the whole process. It was very fun and I learned a lot. The part that I found challenging about it is when we were doing the still life drawing. I was outlining my drawing from a far distance and it turned out very bad, but Mr. Sanderl told us to zoom in and that helped out a lot.

So this is not my image, this is Mr. Sanderl's image. I do not have a landscape image because my phone's front camera is broken and is not able to focus. When I got the image it looked very realistic and didn't have any texture or value to it. It was also very colorful, but we wanted it to be an image that looked like it was hand drawn. So we did this process that made it looked like it was hand drawn  rather than a picture. The image looked way different than it looked before, it had more value, texture, and line. For my image I stuck with the basic tutorial, I learned but I added a little advanced filter techniques but it not as much.

The portrait photo I am using is a picture of me. It was taken in Las Vegas, in a hotel me and my family was staying at. My sister is featured in it but you can't really see her because the camera was'nt able to show her very well. She is in the bottom left. This picture means a lot to me because It was the first time I ever moved to another place. This final image uses a variety of elements of art; like color, texture, value, and line. For color we used a gradient tool to make it look like a faded color to black and white. For texture we made it look real life. Value, we shaded in to bring out the tone. Last is line, for line I outlined everything. In my opinion I agree with critique results my class peers gave me for my work.

ACO 5.1 - Audio Production

Intonation and inflection can be used to maintain the interest of your audience when you are reading a sentence and it ends in a dramatic way and you say it in a dramatic way. For example: "Oh no my stomach hurts! I need food." My role for this assignment and for my team was the vocal talent. I was required to read the script. Rehearsal is very important because no one can sing in one go. It also allows you to practice various parts so that when you read or speak your voice is ready to go. Also it is required to finish the script to record.

In my opinion, I think my team did good on meeting the project goal but we could've done better if one of our team members actually showed up and helped us. Our team faced a couple of obstacles when doing working on our script. First is one of our team members did not show up and helped for some unknown reason. Second is that we were fooling around not focusing on our work for the first couple of days. I think if we focused we could've finished early and it would've also been better than what we have now. If I had a chance to do this project again, I would tell my team members to focus and be here to help and finish it because we lacked and slacked a lot.

ACO 6.0 - Proprietary Information

The FCC or Federal Communications Commission is an independent agency of the United States Government. They control and maintain international communication by radio, wire, satellite, TV, and cable in all 50 states. Copy right infringement is when you or someone uses another person's work, music, art, etc. All of that without permission. The legal consequences of using one's material without permission is by asking the owner, artist, etc. For approval to use their music. Another way is editing the music and changing it, for example, song covers, parody, remixes etc. Fair use is when you use one's material but editing it or remixing it and changing it from the original. Doing that will not get you a strike or copyright infringement.

Confidentiality means something is private or a secret. 3 things you should keep private is your identity, your family's identity, and home address. Social media impacts confidential information a lot because on social media most people would put their real name and show pictures of how they look, how their family looks. Predators can also track you and find out your identity and do all that horrible things to you when they find where you are or also to your family and friends. In my opinion, I agree on having certain things censored and having some not, because everyone has the right to speak but most people abuse it and use it the wrong way. For example saying fire out loud in a public area or saying a very inappropriate word out loud.

ACO 2.0 - Market Shifts

A market is a place where you can purchase or sell things. You can advertise, ship, etc. Markets can shift over time by selling new and improved technology. Brand new technology products like a new apple phone like, the I Phone X . One example of a shifting market is apple. Apple makes a bunch of products such as, iPhones, Mac books, etc. Apple is always trying to make new products for their customers. Another example is gaming. There are a variety of gaming products such as , Xbox, PS4, PCs, etc. The gaming companies are always trying to making new and improved products so that their customers or gamers, will stay and play on them. If they do not improve them their customers will go to another gaming company.

The skills I would like to improve on is marketing, drawing, and photography. I chose marketing because for example, If I am selling any clothing products or any products, I will need to improve on that so that I can sell my merchandise to the people. Another skill I will need to improve is drawing, because I will be designing on clothing and even designing how my market/shop. Lastly, the skill I would like to learn and improve is photography. I need to learn and improve photography so that I can post/share pictures of my products to show to the people to buy my products.

ACO 4.0 - Communication Strategies

My communication changes when I am with someone I do not really know or if he/she is an adult, a coach, teacher, etc. Usually when I'm with my friends I joke around and act a fool, but when I'm with an adult like my parents or a teacher, I talk formally and and act mature. I feel the most comfortable with my best friends and family because they really know and understand me. A way I can improve my communication is getting out of my comfort zone more and practice talking to other people I am not comfortable talking to.

I am thinking of going into graphics design, because I really like designing things like T-Shirts, stickers, etc. I really feel that I will do great on that pathway because I really like Graphics design. I hope in the future I will design my own clothing, make my own brand, and sell my own merchandise. I would also need to learn new ways of designing, brainstorming new products/merchandise, and improve on business work.
